How to Make Homework Easier…on you … The Parent

I think I speak for both children and parents! I literally dread this time of the afternoon. My children have changed schools a few times and can I say the homework varies from 10 mins a night to two hours (yes 2 hours). Two hours is a nightmare and I believe way over the top (grade 6) and it simply made my daughter dread school work even more so, however since relocating she is back down to 30mins a night which I think is acceptable.
If your child cannot read or write you generally have to dedicate that entire time with them (enter Mr grade 3 as well) so I have come up with a MOBILE HOMEWORK STATION. I wish I could say the idea was mine it was not and I would love to credit “a night owl” for giving me the idea.
Homework can require anything from pens, glue, scissors, magazines and even paperclips and paddle pop sticks.
Unlike a messy art cupboard this wheelie trolley has everything they could need so it makes my life easier.
Wheel it out – use what they need – pack it up and roll it away.
Hope that help from Mum to another!
